Good evening to all our Formula1.it readers. Qualifying for the United States GP, which will set the grid for the 18th round of the season, will get under way shortly. Ferrari has brought an upgrade package to Austin which may have required further fine-tuning during FP3. Both Leclerc and Hamilton left the garage with the central section of the car, around the floor area, covered in flow-viz on the left-hand side. Signs that the Prancing Horse is seeking further confirmation.
The testing did not compromise the drivers' running, with Hamilton and Leclerc finishing the final practice session first and third respectively. The potential is there. The Monegasque was third on C3 Medium tyres, rather than Softs. On the C4s, he was unable to set a meaningful time because of track limits.
Red Bull, meanwhile, endured an inconsistent session and heads into qualifying with a few unknowns. Mercedes and McLaren appear to have focused more on race pace so far. These should therefore be interesting sessions, particularly Q3.
Before our Qualifying live coverage begins, let us take a look at Pirelli's tyre allocation for the United States GP: the C2 Hard, C3 Medium and C4 Soft compounds will be available, which is the middle selection from the range (photo: Pirelli graphic).

The pit lane opens at 23:00 Italian time. Live coverage from 22:45.
