By: Good evening to all our Formula1.it readers. It is just after 7pm in Italy, while in Texas it is midday — practically lunchtime. There is a seven-hour time difference. The Austin GP has always been a particularly fascinating event, with its fast sections reminiscent of Suzuka combined with several medium- to low-speed corners. It is a mix of characteristics that drivers always appreciate.
Unfortunately, the circuit is built on ground that is not particularly stable. It therefore requires constant resurfacing work to prevent excessive bumps, which can generate seriously high vertical G-forces for the drivers. The drivers have already voiced considerable concern about the issue. The conditions are different every year, which also makes it difficult to simulate what the teams will encounter on track using the modern systems now found in almost every factory.
