By: Good morning to all Formula1.it readers. With the Azerbaijan GP, Formula 1 enters the final part of the season. There are three intense triple-headers ahead (with the last still awaiting confirmation), the first of which begins this weekend at the Azerbaijani circuit. Baku, Malaysia and Singapore. Three rounds shaping up to be extremely hot, starting with Azerbaijan, where track temperatures are reportedly set to be exceptionally high.
It will be an interesting weekend for many reasons. One is the updates introduced by McLaren. The Woking team has pushed hard with development and brought a comprehensively revised bodywork package, with a strong focus on reducing drag. McLaren has been very strong recently at slower circuits and, if the changes it will test this weekend have the desired effect, it could once again become highly competitive across a range of circuit types and pose a significant threat to Mercedes.
Amid all this, it remains to be seen where Ferrari will stand.
