Treating yourself to a weekend at the circuit to see your heroes live and enjoy the spectacle is becoming increasingly prohibitive because of the exorbitant expense involved.
In previous years, Monte-Carlo was considered the most expensive round on the entire calendar, but now almost every circuit is moving towards a mid-to-high price bracket, especially those in Europe and America.
As well as the cost of the ticket, accommodation, travel and all the activities surrounding the Grand Prix also weigh heavily on people’s wallets. Today, we want to offer a few tips ahead of the Italian GP.
There are several ways to save money during the Monza weekend, starting with transport. If you do not want to use your car, you can always reach the circuit by train and shuttle bus. However, if you want greater convenience, you can park in the designated car parks, where the parking fee already includes the bus to the circuit.
Another obvious sore point is the hotel. Returning to public transport and trains, we recommend not staying in areas immediately adjacent to the track. Instead, choose Milan or nearby towns, which are well connected by regional trains and are often cheaper than hotels very close to Monza Park.
The final major tip we can offer to save some money over the weekend is to bring a packed lunch. This will help you avoid lengthy queues at food outlets and save a substantial part of your budget. As for water, it can be refilled at the drinking fountains dotted around Monza Park, which are also marked on the official "Monza Circuit" app.
