Timo Glock (born on 18 March 1982 in Lindenfels, Germany) is a German racing driver who competed in Formula 1 in the second half of the 2000s, having previously built a strong and successful career in international junior categories.

After starting in karting, Glock moved to single-seaters in the late 1990s. In 2000 he raced in Formula BMW ADAC, followed by the German Formula 3 championship in 2001. His breakthrough came in 2002 in International Formula 3000, where he achieved a victory and several points finishes. In 2003 he won the Formula 3000 Championship with Super Nova, establishing himself as one of the most promising young drivers in Europe.

The Formula 3000 title opened the door to Formula 1. Glock debuted in the World Championship in 2004 with Jordan, contesting several races as a replacement and showing solid form. After his partial F1 experience, he moved to the United States, racing in the Champ Car World Series from 2005 to 2007, achieving victories and strong results that enhanced his international reputation.

In 2008 he returned full-time to Formula 1 with Toyota. With the Japanese team he contested three full seasons from 2008 to 2010, achieving two second-place finishes (Hungary and Singapore 2009) and scoring regular points during a technically transitional period for the team. His name is also linked to the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix, the final chapter of a historic season.

After Toyota’s withdrawal from Formula 1 at the end of 2009, Glock remained on the grid in 2010 and later left the Circus definitively at the end of 2012 following his stint with Virgin/Marussia. In Formula 1 he competed in more than 90 Grands Prix, with two podiums and numerous points finishes.

After Formula 1, Glock continued racing in touring car and GT competitions. He became a leading figure in the DTM, racing for several years with victories and podiums, and establishing himself as a highly experienced and reliable driver. He also participated in endurance programmes and major European motorsport events.

Off the track, Glock is known for a highly methodical professional approach and for his work as a television commentator and analyst in Germany, alongside his sporting activities.
