Tomas Enge (born on 11 September 1976 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic) is a former Czech racing driver who had a brief Formula 1 career in the early 2000s.
After karting and European junior formulae, Enge rose to prominence by winning the 2002 International Formula 3000 Championship. Even before that success, he had attracted paddock attention through solid results in Formula 3 and Formula 3000, entering the orbit of Formula 1 teams.
Tomas Enge took part in Formula 1 free practice sessions: in 2001 he participated in several Friday practice sessions with Prost Grand Prix as a test driver, accumulating mileage and data during race weekends.
His official race debut came in 2001 with Prost, contesting three Grands Prix at the end of the season without scoring points. His Formula 1 experience remained limited and ended with the team’s withdrawal at the end of the year.
After his F1 stint, Enge continued his career in touring car and GT racing, achieving notable results in the World Touring Car Championship and the Superstars Series. His last verifiable racing role saw him competing professionally in touring cars before gradually stepping away from top-level motorsport.
