Robert Shwartzman (born on 16 September 1999 in Saint Petersburg, Russia) is a Russian racing driver with an Israeli licence, a protagonist in the main international junior categories before moving into professional motorsport outside Formula 1.
After karting, he stood out in European single-seaters by winning the Formula 3 championship in 2019 with Prema. He then moved to Formula 2, where he competed between 2020 and 2021, achieving multiple victories and consistently finishing in the leading positions of the overall standings, without however securing the title.
In parallel he became part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, serving as development and reserve driver for Ferrari and customer teams, taking part in tests, simulator work and official Formula 1 free practice sessions. His experience with the Ferrari programme concluded at the end of the 2023 season.
In 2024 Shwartzman remained active in the paddock as Sauber reserve driver, continuing simulator and technical support activities. From 2025 he embarked on a new phase of his career by moving to American single-seaters, debuting in the IndyCar Series with Prema Racing, engaged in its expansion programme in the United States.
