Emilia Romagna GP

Circuit

Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari

Historical information

It is one of the most fascinating Grand Prix on the calendar, located in a magnificent area, inside a park, and on race days it fills with a lively crowd, all “red” in color.

It is remembered for the sad scene of a very difficult time for Formula One, when in the year 1994, on two unfortunate days Roland Ratzenberger (Simtek) lost his life during Saturday practice, and Ayrton Senna (Williams) in the Sunday race. For some time it was no longer part of the F1 calendar, only to return in 2020, when Lewis Hamilton won.

The track's overall record is 1'13"609, set by Valtteri Bottas in a Mercedes in qualifying for the 2020 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

Since its return to the calendar, the most successful driver has been Max Verstappen.

Ferrari's last victory at the Imola circuit was in 2006, when Michael Schumacher triumphed.
