The Red Bull Ring is a car and motorcycle racing circuit located in Spielberg bei Knittelfeld, Styria, Austria. It has been part of the F1 calendar since 2014, with Nico Rosberg winning that edition.
In the 2020 Formula 1 season, the circuit hosted the edition of the Styrian Grand Prix, introduced by the FIA to ensure a certain number of races during the championship, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On June 26 and July 3, 2021, the first two seasonal Grand Prix of the W Series, the top women's motorsport championship, which will change its name to F1 Academy from 2023, were held. The first race was won by Alice Powell; the second was won by Jamie Chadwick, who also holds the women's lap record with her 1'29"607 in race 2.
The overall circuit record is 1'02"939 set by Valtteri Bottas in a Mercedes in qualifying for the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix.
Considered to be one of the GPs with the most duels, we recall the tussle that occurred in the 2022 season between Verstappen and Leclerc, with the Monegasque winning that edition, and the one between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen from the 2024 season.
