Time for reading: 1 minutes

Formula 1 has just completed its second practice session at Interlagos. The fastest time went to Kimi Antonelli, who clocked a 1:10.763, ahead of the impressive Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. It was a mixed session for Ferrari, with Hamilton around three tenths ahead of Leclerc. Their qualifying pace was decent, while their race pace was better; however, McLaren appear unstoppable.

The opening phase of the session saw the newly crowned world champion stand out, setting a 1:11.857 to finish ahead of his struggling team-mate, who will also start with a five-place grid penalty. Norris and Verstappen then came to the fore, with Antonelli producing flashes of pace. There were late flashes of red as rain began to fall. However, the track did not become wet enough for meaningful running.
