Interlagos
Lenght: 4.309 Km
Laps / Race Distance: 71 / 305.939 Km

Geographical Information

Interlagos is a district of São Paulo, a city overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the south coast of Brazil. Guarulhos International Airport, being on the opposite side of the city, is about 40 km from the circuit.

Historical Information

The track, named after Jose Carlos Pace, was recently paved, including the pit lane. The work was completed in 2024 and the asphalt was then thoroughly cleaned, using a high-pressure water washing system that removes the patina that usually appears on brand-new bitumen and also increased the abrasiveness of the surface.

The circuit also offers several overtaking opportunities, but other random factors, such as a high probability of Safety Car and extremely variable weather conditions, make the outcome of the Grand Prix uncertain and difficult to predict.
