Red Bull's internal organization is changing. The team that allowed Verstappen to win four world titles will soon no longer exist. Or rather... It already doesn't exist anymore. The departure of Helmut Marko, Adrian Newey, Christian Horner and the announcement of the departure (by 2028) of his race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, are just some of the names who have left or are in the process of leaving the Milton Keynes team.
A few days ago, the team confirmed Ben Waterhouse's promotion to Chief Performance and Design Engineer, a role he will report directly to Technical Director, Pierre Wache.
Handkammer's intentions
A sign that the team is reorganizing, but soon, according to the latest rumors, it could lose another important player from its board: the head of strategy, Hannah Schmitz. Some think that Ferrari's interest may be behind it, but this seems to be a hypothesis that is still unfounded.

It's hard to say whether the team of Maranello actually got close to Schmitz. We don't actually know which teams are buzzing around her. Speaking on the "Two Mechanics" podcast a few days ago, former Red Bull mechanic Kenny Handkammer caused a stir towards the chief strategy officer.
From our point of view, perhaps, it was not his intention. In his speech, in fact, he limited himself to reporting the rumor of his farewell to the team, expressing instead a strong concern for his fate: “There are rumors that Hannah Schmitz will also leave. With all these people, of a certain level, leaving, how will the team reconfigure itself? This is a real headache”.
Handkammer's focus was not on Schmitz himself, but on Red Bull in general. If this farewell turns out to be true too, it would be further confirmation of the dark times the Milton Keynes team is going through.
