Badoer Luca(Italy, 25/01/1971)

Luca Badoer was born on 25 January 1971 in Montebelluna (Italy). After starting in karting, he built a solid career in junior formulae, achieving notable results at international level.

In 1992 he won the International Formula 3000 Championship with Crypton Engineering, a success that propelled him towards Formula 1. He made his debut in 1993 with Scuderia Italia, then raced with Minardi between 1995 and 1999. In difficult years for backmarker teams, his best result was a seventh-place finish, demonstrating reliability and strong development skills.

After his time as a race driver, Badoer became a central figure at Ferrari as a test driver, a role he held for more than a decade, contributing decisively to the development of the winning cars of the Schumacher era. His work in the simulator and on track was considered one of the key elements of Ferrari’s technical continuity.

In 2009 he made an exceptional return to racing with Ferrari, replacing Felipe Massa after his accident in Budapest. He contested two Grands Prix in a complex technical context before returning to development duties.

After Formula 1, Badoer continued his activity in endurance motorsport, also taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Having ended his competitive career, he has remained connected to Ferrari in managerial and representational roles, maintaining a consistent presence in the international paddock.
